I have felt that music has become stagnant. With the birth of electro/post punk/new wave and everything in between a couple years ago (the renaissance if you will) and the explosion of talent and creativity through new mediums like myspace and youtube, I can't believe i'm saying this. Im getting bored.  This could be the onset of winter hitting me, but i'm not impressed. Maybe i was just spoiled with some amazing new talent over the past 12months and i'm expecting something new and amazing to hit me. Will this happen..?? we'll see. Im trying

The 80's - Creator of the power-pop-ballad-anthem

Evidence - When music videos tried to be deep. Celebrities in the 80's didn't want to send meaningful messages about the ailing the world in their music videos. They we're trying to cure the broken hearts of adolescents, by kicking and dancing in spandex and leg warmers. It almost worked. Thnk you Kurt Cobain, Soundgarden and early Chili Peppers for providing new role models that showed greasy hair, flannel and track marks were not just the sign of a junkie, but a true super star.

Bonnie Tyler- Holdin

Pat Benatar - Love is a battlefield

New Kanye West video - Good Morning

This video is only a few days old. Recently released. Kanye is getting some help from the Japanese animators/designers on this vid. Where would Kanye be without Takashi Murakami?

Thank you Alexander Wang

I would like to extend an enormous amount of gratitude to San Francisco turned New York Designer Alexander Wang. At the age of 24 he has probably created the most amazing pants of all time. I am pro choice on these. I don't know if the Jane Austen crowd will be mobing the stores for these pants. Enjoy.

Calvin Klein. Designer or Subversive Mastermind

Calvin Klein - Free Speech advocate (probably)

In 1995 you may recall the Calvin Klein adds that were pulled off the air due to their "questionable content". It seems that the questions posed in the commercials and the amateur photography and film work involved in them made it seem to "real". The campaign which involved teenage models was pulled and Calvin Klein issued an apology. It seems we've come a long way in a short period of time, when you see the music videos that the pop production machine are churning out. The guy asking the questions does creep me out. Most likely a diddler.
